The summer
party in June at Irene and Mike Hoad's followed by the Annual
Exhibition in July at Godalming Museum brought a very successful
2007/2008 season to a close.
Our new
season's programme, for the Club's 29th year of operation, is
an exciting and varied one and now includes a considerable focus
on digital including several digital workshops. For details please
see the Club's full 2008/09 programme. |

One meeting
last season featured the Scottish Western Isles. In May 2007
several Club members booked a week's, living onboard, photographic
charter trip on the MV Chalice out of Oban. Visiting one of our
meetings last season the skipper, Chris Jackson, of their boat
showed there was no shortage of magnificent scenery and photo
opportunities. It was a spectacular trip and it was repeated
again in 2008, this time to the Outer Hebrides; we await a follow
up photo/AV show with enthusiasm! |

The club
has an active membership, meeting on Wednesday evenings at the
Red Cross Hall, Wey Court (off Meadrow), Godalming from 7.45
to 10.00pm. It caters for all ages and abilities with print and
slide competitions held in three classes (club, intermediate
and advanced). The Club's members work in both conventional and
digital imaging and meetings are always friendly and entertaining.
If you're
interested in photography, and want to share that interest with
other like-minded people, you are invited to attend any of the
Club's meetings before making a decision to join. |

|
Our competitions
and topics cover prints, slides and digital. There are talks
on a wide variety of subjects and 'tutorials' to help all levels
of ability. And we have the 'occasional' social meeting too!
To be a
member of the Club costs just £25 a year (£40 for
family membership and £10 for students). This entitles
you to take part in all Club competitions, together with all
inter-club (Surrey Photographic Association) competitions and
exhibitions. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced
photographers! |
