The Swithin
Margetson Trophy.
This trophy was purchased by the club in 1982 to perpetuate the
memory of Swithin Margetson, a founder member who tragicaly died
only a few months after the Club's formation. It was initially
awarded for an annual competition among schoolchildren in the
town, but interest in the schools was weak and the trophy is
now awarded to the winner of the Slide of the Year competition. |
