Review
The season got off to a very good start with a cheese and wine party and an interesting

selection of members' holiday slides evoking memories of those long, hot, sunny days.
We were visited again by Dr Brian Most, and I intended to take notes but was so captivated by his talk that I forgot! However, two statements I did scribble down are:- "Throwing away a photograph is throwing away an opportunity"; and "Luck favours those who are better prepared."

Colin Westgate's "Edge of Light" was another interesting evening. His landscapes feature the smaller, more intimate view that many people miss.

Thanks are also due to David Southern for his talk on "Colombia for the WWF" an insight into the work that the Fund does and Mike Saunders for his fiendishly clever quiz.
