Oops!
My sincere apologies to the Audio Visual Section for misreporting the Godalming presentation. It was stretching journalistic licence too far to get both the title and the contents wrong!

The evening was a great success with all tickets sold, and there is a waiting list for a viewing next year.

Congratulations to everyone involved for making the evening such a success.

Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody
The barn owl blinked. He was clamping himself to the arm of a black bearded Bohemian, dressed, appropriately enough, in traditional hunting leathers.

'Would I like the bird on my arm' he asked.

A photographic opportunity.

No thank you.

A few yards down the road we read his poster. Any contributions would help towards the welfare of such birds,

presumably fallen from a nest. We went back.
This wonderful bird, fully two feet tall, glared from his perch. Blackbeard released his feet, each one as large as my hand and placed them on his own arm.

As I raised the camera the bird turned his head away. Those startling amber eyes were gone. Some coaxing and he turned one eye to me. I found myself making those sounds that seem to attract the domestic cat. And it worked; the head came around another 90 degrees. Two deep golden amber eyes stared straight at me.

Blackbeard's as well.

There should be a print to come from this!
