This wonderful bird, fully two feet tall, glared from his perch.
Blackbeard released his feet, each one as large as my hand and
placed them on his own arm.
As I raised the
camera the bird turned his head away. Those startling amber eyes
were gone. Some coaxing and he turned one eye to me. I found
myself making those sounds that seem to attract the domestic
cat. And it worked; the head came around another 90 degrees.
Two deep golden amber eyes stared straight at me.

New Season
The new season commences on 1st September 2004.
SPA News
Every year the club enters a competition organised by the Surrey
Photographic Association. This year 32 clubs took part. Its in
two parts - an early section, in which 4 clubs compete with each
other in a 'league'.
