FOCUS Newsletter - Summer 2005 - Edition 8  Page 1

We're approaching the end of another photographic club year and I hope you have plans to get out and about with your camera this summer. If not, then perhaps some of the suggestions in this newsletter will be of interest. Do please check before setting out, particularly if it involves a lengthy trip, as outside events are always at the mercy of the British weather!

Have a safe and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to hearing about it next September - please tell me about your outings so that I can include them in Focus!

Thanks to regular contributor Peter Lordan for his very topical cartoons.

Exhibition and Summer Party
Just a reminder that the dates for our annual Exhibition and the Summer Party have changed to accommodate another event at Godalming Museum.

The exhibition is now 14th June - 2nd July 2005. Please submit up to 5 prints, listing your order of preference, as space is limited and we may not be able to hang them all. The fee is £2 per print. Prints should be submitted at the AGM by the latest.

The summer party takes place on Wednesday 15th June 2005 at the Museum, from 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. and includes a private viewing of the exhibition. The exhibition will be judged by Phil Peddy and awards presented on the evening.

AGM & Awards
The AGM takes place on Wednesday 8th June 2005 at the Red Cross Hall, Meadrow, Godalming, at 8.00 p.m. Please let Tim Harding or Philippa Davies know if you have not received an agenda.

Part of the business of the AGM is the election of a new committee, if you wish to stand for any post then please feel free to do so. Nominations must be submitted before the start of the AGM, in writing, with the agreement of person nominated and signed by the proposer and seconder.

The AGM will be followed by the awarding of trophies won in the 2004/05 competition season.

Once the formal part of the evening is concluded, wine and light refreshments will be available.
