Welcome Back
Welcome back, and I hope you had a good summer despite the rather disappointing weather.

You should have received the new programme, all-important tea-rota and letter of welcome from David Hampson. If not, then please ask any member of the committee for copies.

Two very important changes are taking place this year. The first is the introduction of digital image competitions into the league for the first time. Trophies for this section of the league have generously been donated by Len Deeley and by Penningtons. Details of how to prepare digital images for competition use are on the website and have appeared in a previous edition of Focus, but if you are unsure, then please speak to Len Deeley or to me - I am happy to cover this again as a tutorial in Focus.

The second change is that in future, programme planning will be undertaken by a small sub-committee, reporting to the main committee.

William Bagnall, Jane Perry and I are very keen to provide a full and varied programme which caters to members' needs and interests but we can only do that if we know what you would like. Please help us by filling in the questionnaire (available 5th September) and by passing on any observations or suggestions that you have.

Any suggestions how to convert my 2' x 6' lean-to greenhouse into a photographic studio?
