Godalming
Photographic Club - Season 2007/2008 |
|
|
|
|
|
The new
season's programme, for the Club's 28th year of operation, is
an exciting and varied one and now includes a considerable focus
on digital including several Digital evenings. For details of
this year's programme please see the Club's full 2007/08 programme.
Godalming
Photographic Club's new season started with a very well-attended
Cheese & Wine evening and members bringing holiday images.
The selection was impressive and included digital images, AV
presentations and prints. A sign of the times, perhaps - the
slide projector was ready and waiting but remained unused. |

A meeting
earlier this season featured the Scottish Western Isles. In May
several Club members booked a week's, living onboard, photographic
charter trip on the MV Chalice out of Oban. Using their photographs
and AV presentations David Southern, Len Deeley, David Moxon
and John & Leslie Macbeth showed there was no shortage of
magnificent scenery and photo opportunities. It was a spectacular
trip and they're talking of going again next year!
The club
has an active membership, meeting on Wednesday evenings at the
Red Cross Hall, Wey Court (off Meadrow), Godalming from 7.45
to 10.00pm. It caters for all ages and abilities with print and
slide competitions held in three classes (club, intermediate
and advanced). The Club's members work in both conventional and
digital imaging and meetings are always friendly and entertaining. |

|
If you're
interested in photography, and want to share that interest with
other like-minded people, you are invited to attend any of the
Club's meetings before making a decision to join.
Our competitions
and topics cover prints, slides and digital. There are talks
on a wide variety of subjects and 'tutorials' to help all levels
of ability. And we have the 'occasional' social meeting too!
To be a
member of the Club costs just £25 a year (£40 for
family membership and £10 for students). This entitles
you to take part in all Club competitions, together with all
inter-club (Surrey Photographic Association) competitions and
exhibitions. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced
photographers! |
