On 11th March, Janey Devine will join us at Godalming Photographic Club to talk about her journey ‘Celebrating British Life’.
Janey more recently has become fascinated with documentary photography, and has worked on a number of social documentary projects. She currently is the co-ordinator for the RPS South East Documentary. Group and was also awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2008 with a panel of images taken in East Anglia.
There are many interpretations of documentary photography, so Janey will discuss how these sit alongside street, travel and photojournalism. Showing images from her British Life project, she will give a talk entitled celebrating British life right across the UK.
The talk starts at 8pm so please arrive from 7.45pm onwards to ensure you don’t miss anything.
Non-members and guests are welcome to join us for featured talks at a charge of £5 cash on the door. Do feel free to get in touch if you’d like to come along using our contact form.
