This theme celebrates the changing seasons and the many ways they influence the natural and human world. Entries may focus on spring, summer, autumn or winter—or explore the transition between seasons.
Photographers may interpret the theme through landscapes, gardens, wildlife, weather, agriculture, people, festivals or seasonal activities. The image might highlight the fresh colours of spring, the warmth of summer, the rich tones of autumn or the stark beauty of winter.
Creative interpretations are encouraged. The season does not have to dominate the image visually, provided its influence is clearly evident through atmosphere, subject matter or mood.

Generations explores the relationships, contrasts and connections between people or subjects of different eras. The theme may depict family members, friends, communities, buildings, objects or even symbolic representations of the passage of time.
Images might show grandparents with grandchildren, multiple generations together, differences in lifestyle or technology, shared experiences, traditions passed from one generation to another, or the changing stages of life. The emphasis is on expressing continuity, change, heritage or human connection.
Interpretations need not be limited to portraits. Still life, documentary, street photography or conceptual images may also communicate the idea of generations through symbolism or storytelling.
