SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

Godalming Photographic club runs a number of smaller special interest groups. They are open to all members, their aim is to grow understanding and skills in different specialist areas of photography. They are run by the members who organise events outside the usual club calendar: e.g. expeditions, discussions and advice.

The current Special Interest Groups are:

The Landscape SIG is a place where we can start group discussions, solicit feedback on our images, post events and collate useful resources.

We organise regular expeditions to local beauty spots.

There is a Whatsapp group for shorter term group communications, for example event logistics etc.

Creative photography is a technique by which you combine different shapes, colours, and forms of ordinary moments and turn them into creative art using your photography skills. This type of photography demands a unique way of seeing things and projecting an innovative image, altered from reality.

It can be ICM, digital manipulation, multiple exposures, anything goes...

There is a Whatsapp group for shorter term group communications, for example event logistics etc.

Street Photography Special Interest Group
including Documentary Photography, Environmental and Street Portraits.

We aim to run at least 2 street photography walks a year but also have discussion groups about techniques, books and more.

Street may not be typical 'club photography' but it has never been more popular.
